Coder’s Anatomy: Maisonneuve Fracture

A maisonneuve fracture is proximal fracture of the fibula resulting from external rotation. It’s named after  Jules Germain François Maisonneuve (1809-1897), a French surgeon who was the first to explain how external rotation fractured ankles.
